Manchester chooses benchmarking partner to provide accurate event data

8 November 2021.

Venue Performance, the UK’s leading Meetings & Events benchmarking platform, and Marketing Manchester’s Manchester Convention Bureau have formed a strategic partnership to help provide meetings and events venues in Manchester with ongoing performance data analysis of the sector.

Venue Performance is already working with The London Convention Bureau and is soon to announce further partnerships with other Convention Bureaus across the UK.

From July 2022 we will be collecting Manchester M&E data. It will be fascinating to see how this compares to London data.

Venue Performance is a future-focused, competitive benchmarking service that helps venues understand their relative performance set against their competitors and regions that matter to them.

Now more than ever venues need rock-solid information about the future to drive their decision-making and via its relationship with UK Convention Bureaus and industry trade associations, Venue Performance is assisting in providing government bodies with the latest data and trends from the industry.

Peter Heath, founder of Venue Performance, said: “Manchester has been on our radar for a while now, with its vibrant and growing events scene, and we’re delighted to help the city and broader region grow using our unique and ground-breaking benchmarking platform. We’ll work closely with the business tourism team at Marketing Manchester, its members, and wider stakeholders to provide insight and analysis as to the growth and diversity of the region. We’re really excited to be taking the benchmarking outside of London and extending our reach into the wider UK market,”

Stephanie Newton, Head of Business Tourism at Marketing Manchester, added“We were impressed with Venue Performance’s capabilities and fresh approach to data sharing and insight, and we’re excited to be working with Peter, and his team to help our members measure and manage their growth and development as Manchester comes out of the last 18 months of lockdowns.

“There’s a growing desire for the UK’s Convention Bureaus to be working together to help our industry’s cause across the UK and into government, and Venue Performance is the perfect platform to help us with that growth and, crucially, government reporting.”
