Forecasting the future for meetings and events

Crikey, if I sit on another Zoom or webinar where the participants talk sincerely and with great commitment about what they don’t know, I think I’m going to go crazy.

Although, I guess it’s understandable. It’s a bit like throwing it all out there and seeing what sticks. They’re probably thinking, “well, no-one else knows what the hell is going on so I might as well speak about what I don’t know”.  I don’t blame them, it’s just all a bit…..well…..repetitive and loose.

I suppose there is the cold comfort for the viewing audience who think “phew, even lots of my peers aren’t sure what’s happening so I’m OK for not knowing the answers to those awkward sales forecast questions in our zoom meetings”.

For many years now my favourite analogy has been the Donald Rumsfeld quote when he was talking about the Iraq war. You know the one, the one where he talks about the ‘known knowns’, the ‘unknown knowns’ and the ‘unknown unknowns’. Well, if ever there was a time for those pesky ‘unknown unknowns’ then by golly we’re smack bang in the middle of it right now.

You might now be thinking – “well come on then smarty pants – what clever things do you have to say about those dastardly ‘unknown unknowns’, especially in Covid times?

Well, unfortunately, I don’t have the answers but our (very) clever, future-forecasting benchmarking tool does. It needs a collective effort (like all good data analysis) but we’re all set up to provide the industry with the answers. No more sitting in the dark of your order book/calendar/budget. We can now show you not only what the market is doing but also, what your competitors are doing. That’s right, a full 360 view of the past, present AND the future.

If you fancy some answers, I’d be delighted to show you are clever, 24/7, online benchmarking dashboard.
